P90X Best Exercise Routines
Everybody has a different opinion about what the best P90X exercise routines are. For some people, it’s the fun and high energy Cardio X routine. Many people (in fact the majority of those we asked) like the Kenpo X workout the best. We’ve even heard one person profess their love for the Back and Biceps workout. The “best exercise routine from the twelve P90X workouts” seems to be as individual a selection as the best flavor of ice cream. However, we have four favorite P90X exercise routines that we think count as the best of the bunch.
Kenpo X: We’ll admit it. We’re on the Kenpo X bandwagon. We think that this exercise routine is great for a number of reasons. Firstly, we agree that it’s by far the most fun and entertaining workout of the twelve P90X workouts, and it’s uniquely different from almost any other workout routine we’ve ever seen. But it’s also brilliantly done in the way in which it works your core and legs and also tones your arms through block and punch moves. We give it an A+.
Plyometrics: Though plyometrics is a popular workout technique at the moment, Tony Horton’s plyometrics workout is smoothly coordinated to maximize your cardio burn and strength training in your legs through jump training. This workout is also perfectly placed in the workout sequence to give you something a bit more upbeat in between heavy strength workouts. We give it yet another A+.
Chest and Back: While we don’t think that this workout is the hardest of the strength workouts, we love how targeted it is to get you results in these areas that are often more challenging to workout. You’ll focus primarily on two upper body exercises, and one of those exercises is push-ups. Don’t worry, you can make them perfect pushups with the P90X Push Up Stands (also sometimes called P90X Powerstands). But why we really love this workout is that those areas of the body can be hard to specifically target, and Tony Horton does it perfectly. Grade? You guessed it. A+.
X Stretch: Probably the reason that we love X Stretch so much is because so few workouts these days give an entire exercise routine to stretching. However, stretching is such a key component of getting your body into its best shape. Not only is this a great stretch, but it truly contributes to your overall athletic ability with optimizing P90X.
So there you have it. Those are our four favorite P90X workout routines. Yours may be totally different. One thing we can agree on? All twelve routines will get you into the best shape of your life!
